This install assumes you have the Legacy Collection or the Voicemxil version, but it will also work for any version of the game so long as you ensure you’re in the BASE GAME FILE. NOT THE EXPANSIONS. BASE!

The new file has NO ANIMATION. That is the point.

This replaces THIS moving file with a non-offensive solid file. I’ll admit it isn’t a perfect match but I did it in haste since I get really sick and dizzy. I may provide other, more lore-friendly (and UI replacer options) at some point.

This ONLY removes the loading cursor and is not a replacement for others. However, if you DO replace your cursors, note that you will have to either omit the animated one in that mod, or re-apply this one.

This mod is installed inside the directory of the game, NOT the downloads folder. This is a replacement file for Hourglass_8.ani.

Here is the install location if you’re using the Legacy Collection from EA. Adjust the first few folders based on where you installed (ie. if you have an e, d, or other drive that isn’t C)

Unzip the file.

Drag and drop the unzipped file to the above location. Say yes to replacing the file. It will likely ask to give admin privileges, do so.

You’re done. Play without distracting animations. As a person with a sensory disorder, this is a MUST-HAVE change for me, so I decided to release it in case others might need it!
