Playing The Sims: SuperStar, It’ Still Fire in the 2020s

Mostly because every time you put down a fireplace or cook, everybody immediately dies, but I digress.

I remember the first time I ever played The Sims. It was the best experience I’d ever had. Getting new expansions felt like the best thing in the world, and I still get giddy remembering the very first time I played “Unleashed”, “Vacation”, “Superstar”, or “Hot Date”. These expansions added entire worlds. Hell, “Unleashed” even added an entirely new take to the neighborhood! And the MUSIC… hot damn.

So, I played for roughly 20 minutes, and then bought Michael Bachelor a stove. Big mistake, this was his first meal on it…

Rest in Peace Michael… (I did not save this, but jesus).

I have always had a special place in my heart for “The Vanilla Home”

I’ve just created a new sim who’ll be a starlet. In honour of the late Loretta Lynn, her name is “Loretta Lindon”.

Lorreta will be studying cooking before I buy a stove and getting a fire detector. Sheesh.

I am just as excited as I was the first time I got this expansion. ????

It’s taking so long to get famous. I forgot how hard this game is. This is WITH cheating. Save the file then delete my sim to reset her stats.

The Vanilla Home has become party central, with a new pool, and a giant outdoor enteraining space.

Loretta pulled out her guitar around a fire, so wholesome. And yeah idk why this guy looks like Thane from Mass Effect, either…

I have no mods… so uh, okay. ????

After literally days of playing (and having to cheat moods), I am still only at Trendsetter, but I am really enjoying this journey… and will absolutely continue.

I've been a gamer since the first time I ever touched a computer (2001). Rollercoaster Tycoon, whatever came from a cereal box. You name it. Random java? Yep! Habbo? Yep. I've been playing The Sims since 2004. I've played every iteration, but the Sims 2 will always remain as my very favourite. I'm passionate about getting others involved in playing the Sims 2 and sharing my stories, as well as trying my hand at CC. But, I also love the other Sims games (Castaway Stories anybody?) GTA, RPGs, City-Builders, I play them all.
