Frosty Toolsuite 1.0.6.3 and DataPath Fix Download Links

This software is being redistributed by Little Miss Gamer simply as an archive of the project in case there are issues that arise in the future. This is by no means taking ownership of the project, merely ensuring that FMM can always remain downloadable for modding, guides, etc used by this website. I always suggest you go to the public repo if the program is still available! This page is linked to in-case the github is no longer accessible, and thus no links will break that link to downloading the toolsuite. Consider this page a failsafe.

Opensource message from Reddit for The Frosty Toolsuite

The Frosty Toolsuite is now open source!

A message from Cade, the current Frosty Toolsuite developer:

Hey everyone, I wanted to first and foremost thank everyone for testing out the alphas I’ve been working on over the past year, and for all the feedback you’ve given for what can be improved. I see everything you gals and guys say, and I’ve been working on some pretty large additions that I think everyone will be excited for! I also know that development has been slower since Galaxyman left the project (I can’t thank him enough for the amazing work he’s done), as it’s only me working on Frosty now. I’ve been extremely busy with work, and I haven’t had as much time as I would’ve hoped to expand the project. I’ve officially made the decision for the Frosty Toolsuite to go open source! This means anyone can view and modify the code behind Frosty, and request that code be incorporated into the project. This is important because the community (you) can now help support Frosty! This means each game can get the love it deserves if someone in its respective community wants to contribute. I don’t make mods, how does this affect me?

  • It means updates will potentially come quicker and have more additions or fixes! Open source will give the opportunity for developers in the community to contribute to Frosty, whether that’s fixing a bug, adding support for a new game, or adding a new feature. It won’t just be me working on it now.

How can I contribute?

  • You can check out and clone the repository from the Github link below! Once you’ve made changes or fixes you want to submit, you can create a pull request and I can review this. This still needs to be fleshed out, so we can work together on this once when someone gets there.

What’s coming next?

  • On top of the additions I mentioned earlier, I’m also working on setting up the source for Galaxyman’s work in progress Level and Blueprint Editor as plugins. They will be very unstable and won’t work out of the box.

DatapathFix

Latest Release

DatapathFix is an experimental Frosty plugin to fix an issue with modding games on Epic Games Store where mods do not appear in the game. This plugin works with games that FrostyFix does not support.

Instructions

  1. Download & Unzip the latest version of Frosty Toolsuite
  2. Go to the folder where you Unzipped frosty and go into the Plugins folder
  3. Drag the DatapathFixPlugin.dll file into the Plugins folder
  4. Open Frosty and make sure to disable Launch Platform Plugin or delete it from the Plugins folder

Troubleshooting

  • Disable In Game Overlay in EA Desktop
  • If EA Desktop tells you that you do not own the game, restart it through the in-app restart button.
  • If Steam/EpicGamesStore has the game stuck as “Running” completely kill and restart Steam/EpicGamesStore aswell as all EA related processes.
  • If the game shows up as “DatapathFix” in Frosty, try to launch the game like normal and it should fix itself.
  • Make sure to disable the LaunchPlatformPlugin that comes with Frosty.

I've been a gamer since the first time I ever touched a computer (2001). Rollercoaster Tycoon, whatever came from a cereal box. You name it. Random java? Yep! Habbo? Yep. I've been playing The Sims since 2004. I've played every iteration, but the Sims 2 will always remain as my very favourite. I'm passionate about getting others involved in playing the Sims 2 and sharing my stories, as well as trying my hand at CC. But, I also love the other Sims games (Castaway Stories anybody?) GTA, RPGs, City-Builders, I play them all.
